You might be asking yourself, why such an old song and why now, out of all times?
Well, this song was brought back to our attention very recently in quite the interesting context. Because not only is “This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race” ten years old and one of the band’s best and most popular tracks, it also plays at exactly 100 Beats per Minute. This fact is highly relevant because that’s exactly the rhythm of the average heartbeat, meaning the song is perfectly suitable to perform CPR and could therefore literally save lives!
The Presbyterian Hospital from New York has released a list of tracks suitable for this situation the other day featuring this one. So while we certainly didn’t expect a context like this to cause us to learn something new about Fall Out Boy, this information might prove useful someday in all of our lives. So make sure to expand your knowledge on basic first aid if necessary and if you’re ever in the unfortunate situation of witnessing an accident or a similar scenario in which CPR is needed, you’ll know what to do.
If you want to have a look at the entire list of songs, you can check it out HERE and if you are waiting for some new stuff from Fall Out Boy or just haven’t listened to them properly in a while (like us), feel free to do so below!
