Panic! At The Disco - Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off (Track of the Day, September 25th)
As much as we love the latest Panic! At The Disco album "Death Of A Bachelor" which came out back in early 2016, and we love it a LOT, sometimes going back to older albums and just getting taken away by all the beautiful music the band has succeeded to create since pretty much day one is just too tempting of an opportunity not to take up.
So without further ado, we will throw things back to the year 2005. It had been a year since Panic! At The Disco, a Las Vegas based band of four members who met through high school, had officially been founded. They had just released their debut album "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" via Decaydance Records, an imprint label of Fueled By Ramen, owned by no other than Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz.
The emo fringes were way longer back then and so were the song titles, but the record was just as full of amazing tracks as every other record that would later follow. One of those tracks, which no doubt has developed into a real classic, was "Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off". Although often forgotten or overshadowed by the band's massive success single "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" from that same album, "Lying..." remains a fan favorite up to this day.
With refined and quite frankly unique lyrics, Brendon Urie's vocals to go with them and the catchy chorus line "Let's get these teen hearts beating faster", not to mention the amazingly bizarre music video, we could not imagine Panic! At The Disco without this song.
So if you're feeling the same way, you know what to do! (And by that we mean: feel free to stream "Lying..." below and do some reminiscing with us!)
