Rise Against – The Violence (Track of the Day, May 10th)

It’s been 3 years since „The Black Market“, the last major release from Rise Against. That’s a long time to be waiting, but fortunately the band has recently announced that their upcoming album “Wolves” is due on June 9th and given us a first taste of what it’s going to sound like by releasing its first single.

The track goes by the name “The Violence” and deals with the nature of humankind, what we are destined for and capable of, especially regarding the state of this world and the many problems we face every day. The result is a bunch of amazing lyrics such as “Are we not good enough? / Are we not brave enough? / To become something greater / Than the violence in our nature?”

As a first sneak peek into the forthcoming record, this song definitely sounds very promising and leaves us stoked for more. Do you agree? Have you listened to the track yet?
